BAM Jam court sponsors

Thanks to Helly Hansen and Jackson & Jackson for renewing their sponsorships early for this year's BAM Jam. And thanks to AAA of Idaho for getting on board with us. The 2009 event is growing, and that means that we will need more baskets, tape and supplies in general. It is because of great sponsors like these that we are able to handle these up front capital expenses. If you are interested in getting involved, please send an email to us at info@idahoselect.org.

An update on registering for 2009

The great news: it looks like BAM Jam is going to be able to once again work with Drake Cooper on website development. Understanding that there are always setbacks, our goal is to have 2009 registration available starting in mid-March. We are working to make the registration process even easier. This also includes volunteer sign ups.

In other news, all the city and county paperwork is going as planned. The more that we work with the different agencies, the more you really respect what they do. I thought that the Special Olympics went very well. Just think; in 10 years from now Boiseans are going to be able to say, "Yeah, I remember when we hosted a World Event". Pretty cool stuff.

Just a reminder, this year's BAM Jam will be on August 7-8, 2009.

Taking early registrations

The paperwork is in and BAM Jam is ready to get back to the streets in 2009. The next BAM Jam will be on August 7-8 in downtown Boise. If you would like to get on an "early" registration list, send an email to service@idahoselect.org with your team captains contact info and the bracket that you think you may want to play in. It does not cost you any money but it will get you on a list that will keep you up to date on everything BAM Jam related.

Oh, and don't forget to check out pictures from the 2008 event at foto208.com.

Thank you Treasure Valley

BAM Jam 2008 was a great success and we want to thank all the people and organizations in the Treasure Valley that made this possible. From all the participants playing, to the sponsors supporting to the hundreds of volunteers that donated their time, you should be proud to know that you are the reason why BAM Jam was a hit.

BAM Jam 2009 is tentatively planned for August 7-8. To see some of the action from this year's event, check out this photo gallery from foto208 [CLICK HERE].

The Bracketing has begun!

We have begun the bracketing process and have started to post them online as they become available. Please keep in mind that these brackets are tentative and subject to change. Your final brackets will be given to you at Team Check-in on Thursday and Friday. Team Check-in at Old Chicago downtown is mandatory!

To view the brackets, visit the following web page: www.idahoselect.org/brackets.shtml. This is a work in progress and all brackets will be added as they become available. Please be patient with us; our staff is volunteering their time which means they have a real job that pays the bills during the day!

All teams will be receiving an email with their team numbers. You must have this number at team check-in to get your final bracket, tshirts and BAM Jam registration package.

Also, a big thanks to all the volunteers that helped us assemble baskets last night and to Bruneel Tire for letting us use some of their space!
