Schedule, Team Check In, Player Changes, Arena Floor Access

Captains and teams - here is an update on your brackets and team check in.

Brackets
Tentative brackets are expected to be out late Wednesday evening. These will be close to final but are subject to change. Please look them over and make sure that you are in the correct bracket. These brackets are posted just to make sure you are in the correct bracket, not an opportunity to change your schedule. The tentative brackets will be available at www.idahoselect.org/brackets.shtml.

Team Check In
All team captains are required to be at the team check in on Thursday, March 10 between 6:00-9:00pm at the StoneHouse by The Ram, 665 Park Boulevard, Boise, ID (208) 345-6790. If your team captain cannot make the team check in PLEASE ARRANGE FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO COME IN THEIR PLACE. At check in captains will receive their player wristbands (required to get on to the arena floor), team shirts, updated brackets and other registration items. There will be drink and food specials as well so come with an appetite!

Player Changes
If you need to add or change a player, please use the Player Change Form which you can download in a .pdf by clicking here. Please fill out completely and fax to the number on the form. Please be aware that any team found using an illegal player will be disqualified from the tournament. It may seem severe but our insurance carrier insists!

New this year, players only on the floor
Due to security and safety concerns, this year inside Taco Bell Arena only people wearing their official Player Wristbands will be allowed on the arena floor. Spectators in the arena will need to sit in their designated seating areas. Directions and ushers at the event will help you know where to go. We have been working with the arena staff to insure the safety of all players and spectators for the best event possible!

A guide to getting started

Often, the hardest part about playing in BAM Jam is simply getting started. Here are a few tips to help you get ready for Idaho's biggest tournament this August.
  1. Put Friday and Saturday, August 5-6, 2011 down on your schedule. Obviously to play, you have to be available.
  2. Pick your teammates. As a captain, you get the privilege of picking the players you want to play with. Start thinking about the types of players you want around you. Do you want to win? Do you want to have fun? Do you need a ride to the tournament? Potential teammates are everywhere: at your school, work, church or even a hoops team you are on right now.
  3. Pick your division. The great thing about BAM Jam is there is a division for everyone. Whether you are the ultra competitive player or just trying to get some exercise without pulling your hammy, you can find the level of competition that is right for you. Check out our "Bracketing 101" guide by clicking here
  4. Get registered. You have your team and you know what division you want to play in. Now, make sure you get your team's spot secured so that you can worry about other things...like stretching out that hamstring!
Hopefully this helps you get set for the tourney. Work on that crossover, tune up your shot and get ready for a great weekend of hoops!

Clinic of Champions, Game Times, Team Check In, Player Changes

A couple of reminders:

The Clinic of Champions is Wednesday night from 6-8pm and will be at Timberline HS outdoor courts. This clinic is for players looking for inside strategies from guys that have won major 3 on 3 tournaments. All the details are available by CLICKING HERE.

Brackets are being finalized and should be available sometime on Wednesday. A link to the brackets will be posted here on the BAM Jam website (under the "News" link) or you can go www.idahoselect.org/brackets.shtml. The earliest games start is 5:00 PM on Friday.

Team Check In is Thursday evening at The Sports Authority on Milwaukee from 4-8pm. It is mandatory that at least one team representative check their team in. Teams will get the most up to date brackets, their shirts and can take their shot at winning a new 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. All the details can be found by CLICKING HERE. Anyone can come down and it is going to be a lot of fun!

If your team needs to make a change due to injury, sickness, travel, change of plans or whatever you need to use the BAM Jam Player Change Form, available for download under the "Play" link on the BAM Jam website.

This year's Fast Eddy's BAM Jam is the biggest yet! We can't wait for the weekend!

Team Check In Information

This year's team check in will take place at The Sports Authority parking lot, located at 1301 N. Milwaukee in Boise. It will be on Thursday, August 5 from 4-8pm. More details will come as we get closer to the event. This is mandatory for all teams to attend, though you can send just one team representative if you would like. At check in you will get updated brackets, your team's t-shirts plus a coupon package worth over $100. You can also make last minute player changes as well (see the details on the official Player Change form here for restrictions). We recommend bringing the entire team and your family.

This year, we are turning the team check in into more of a festival for participants, fans and family. There will be fun things for the whole family, including a chance to win a new 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 from Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge. Also at the check in there will be a preliminary round of the Mybullfrog 3-Point Challenge.

Plus, there going to be music and some great food.

Team Captains - please read

Just a reminder, once you have registered your team the team captain (also listed as Player 1) should be getting a verification email with all of your team's information. It is critical that you read this information carefully and make any changes necessary.

The most critical items are: team gender, team age and team competition level. These items determine which bracket you are in and once the tournament starts they cannot be changed.

If you have not yet received this email check your spam or junk folder, as they will sometimes end up in there. After you have checked these folders, if they are not there then send an email to service@idahoselect.org with your name and your team's name. We will go in and try to find it from there!
